Lauren graduated from Potomac Massage Training Institute (PMTI) in 2005 and has been practicing massage full time ever since. She is Nationally Certified, is licensed in Washington, DC, and is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. In addition, she holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Therapy from Elizabethtown College.

Lauren currently operates her private practice, offers pregnancy massage services at Spa on the Hill, teaches infant massage at Lil Omm, serves on the teaching faculty at PMTI, and volunteers with Touch of Relief, providing massage to survivors of trauma. Lauren has experience working with athletes in training, including the Washington Redskins; in chiropractor's offices providing injury specific treatments; and in spas offering therapeutic bodywork and holistic wellness services.

While Lauren considers deep tissue massage her specialty, she is also certified in prenatal, postnatal and labor massage, has extensive training in Swedish massage, practices Hot Stone Massage, is a Level 2 Reiki Practitioner, and is a certified infant massage instructor. Her intention as a massage therapist is to facilitate awareness, to promote balance, and to optimize health. This is accomplished using a unique blend of clinical, therapeutic work and gentle, subtle techniques that promote deep relaxation.

Lauren fully embraces the mind-body-spirit philosophy; she believes it is necessary to care for each part of our selves to enjoy a full, enriched life. Through her background in Psychiatric Music Therapy, she developed a profound understanding of our basic need as humans for compassion, support, nurturing and touch. Lauren is committed to creating a space for each person’s innate ability to grow and heal so that as a community, we may all enjoy well being.
